Car Update:

We now have a car, it's a 1990 Nissan Sentra Coupe. We like to thank all those that helped us through this process. We also like to thank those people that drove us around when we needed rides.

Someone said that they may have a car for us, will let you know if we do get that car.  Not sure what it is, but hopefully it's a standard.

My car broke down, the engine mount broke, when I took it into Tyee Chev Old's for an oil change that we got from the Welcome Wagon, and here's what Tyee said:

They checked the car and said that the engine mount screws are shot, but it's the least of my worry's, because right/rear park light and reverse light inoperative, air cleaner is loose, vehicle stalls, battery leaks acid, windshield is cracked, coolant leaks from lower radiator hose to radiator connection, various engine oil leaks present, and the worst is vehicle structure is rusted out - vehicle is not safe to be on the road, and it's best to take it off the road.  Tyee Tech Team.

That's what I did is took the car off the road, and now I'm looking for a car that is good on gas, but prefer a 4 cylinder, 5 speed vehicle.  If I don't get a vehicle before Christmas morning to hand out Christmas gifts, I'll need someone to drive me around along with my wife.

presents update

Merry Christmas, we gave out 70 gifts to street people today. We even gave three gifts to the police to give to street people that wound up in jail.  Thanks to all those that helped. We ran out of gifts, turned people away, said would try to work on getting more.  If you can give stockings of socks, tooth paste, brushes, new or near new clothes, let me know asap, as we want to give gifts through out the holidays, it's never too late to give.

It looks like we have about 70 presents now all together after we put them in gift bags.  We still need more, there are lot's of people on the streets, including families, and single parents.   Someone said that gift bags would be better if you could get gift bags. (update: We had a bunch of gift bags dropped off, thank...s!) If we put gifts in gift bags, we can add oranges, candy canes, etc. Again, thanks for your help!

It looks like we have about 60 presents now after putting together what we have wrapped or we put them in gift bags.  Someone said that gift bags would be better if you could get gift bags, or if they do come pre-wrapped that we put hats, gloves, scarves together.  That if they come in gift wraps, we can add oranges, candy canes, etc.  Again, thanks for your help!

Other needs that we haven't got any yet:

- Winter gloves

- Winter hats

- Winter clothes

- Heavy winter sleeping bags for those that do sleep outside

- New socks

- Scarves

- Baby stuff for single mothers

And other stuff as needed for people that you can think of, if they could come pre-wrapped with a label on it to tell who for, male or female, child, baby, etc.

Help Build A Skateboard Park For Kids

  UPDATE:  Updated:  04 Feb 2010 :

I have someone that is willing to design the skateboard park.  Then I need an estimate to get the materials needed to build the skateboard park, and then I need someone that can assist in building the skateboard park.  If you can help, let me know.

I'm helping the kids get a skateboard park, because as a kid I never had anything. Nor could I do what they did, because I was born with club feet, and deaf in both ears. I had series of operations on my feet and ears, and now I walk and hear like everyone else. Now I go around helping people, and one project I'm working on is helping kids get a skateboard park built. WISH LIST

  UPDATE:  Updated:  04 Feb 2010

  • I am looking for a 4 cylinder, 5 stick shift vehicle, that is good on gas, and can handle long distance driving.

  • We are looking for a generator for someone on the reserve who needs power all the time, because he wears an oxygen mask all the time.  When the power goes out, this person needs power for his oxygen mask.  So if you can help us get a generator, let me know.  He also needs another water tank, because his tank is too small for the size of his family, and the family needs beds too.

  • Gold River, BC Canada is a remote area, and it was suggested that we should have a circus come to town for a change. If you know of a circus company that can come to our town, it would be a blessing for the community.  Let us know!

  • It's our wish to find someone to help us buy Garden Apartment in Gold River, BC so we can turn it into low cost housing or native housing.

  • Office Furniture

    • Bookshelves for the many books that we have for people to read, as well as literature.  We want to start a library.

    • Pentium 4 computers with 80 to 120 GB hard drive, 2 to 4 GB DDR memory.  Computer is used to run the organization more efficiently, such as updating webpage, and for the day to day operation.

    • Laptop (Pentium 3 or 4, windows 2000 or xp on it).  Laptop will be used for the on the road day to day operation as well.  Taking the office on the road.

    • USB scanner.  Used for making membership cards, etc.

    • Chairs.  Used for the office so people have a place to sit.

    • Lamps.  I need better lighting.

    • Printers.  Printer will be used for the day to day operation of the organization, keeping in mind too that ink in itself cost up 90.00 dollars.  So we will need help with fill ups or new ink regularly.

  • vhf radio for vehicle and for the home, preferably 45 watts, and a 7' or 8' antenna to put outside the house.  My aunt and uncle would be able to reach me by vhf radio, once I have a vhf radio.  I usually give them a ride from the boat docks to town in Gold River, British Columbia, Canada, or a ride to Campbell River, British Columbia, Canada.

  • Need help with our day to day expenses, if you want to help pay for the bill's we have, such as TELUS, BC Hydro, etc.  It's really hard to help those in need when we can't pay our bills.  We need help with our TELUS phone bill and our Hydro bill, if you can help let us know, because we will be disconnected very soon.

  • We need a lawyer and/or legal team that knows about criminal law, and about Ministry of Children and Family law ASAP!  Contact me by email !
